U4 - U6 Teams
Sutton Youth Soccer has both a U4 and U6 program.
The program objective is to provide an in-town soccer program where basic soccer skills are introduced (passing, shooting, dribbling) in a station's based format. This program meets Saturday mornings for 1 hour.
Team Size / Formation: Program is structured through skill stations. Players are placed in groups of 10-12 players with an activity leader for the full hour of practice. Groups will change and players may have a different activity leader every week.
Practices / Games: Program meets one hour a week on Saturday mornings at 9:00 at St. Mark's Church Field. Fall program runs for 8 weeks, begining the first Saturday after labor day. Spring program runs for 8 weeks, begining the second Saturday in April.
Equipment: Players should purchase cleats and shin pads: shin pads should be covered by socks. Bring a water bottle for each practice. Team shirt is provided.
Coaches: This program is run by a Coordinator and Parent Activity Leaders (volunteers) and/or H.S. Varsity Players.
Each volunteer needs to be registered through the town program and be CORI checked. ***Parents please read letter below***

Age Group: U6 (Kindergarten & Preschool)
Team Size / Formation: Each coed team consists of a maximum of 10 players with an even mix of boys and girls if possible. Based on the registration for the fall and spring season, an attempt is made to keep the same players with each coach during 1 full soccer year.
Uniform: Team Shirt is provided in the fall with returning players expected to keep those shirts for the spring. New shirts will be provided for new players in the spring season.
Practices / Games: Coaches hold one weekday evening practice with games occurring on Saturday mornings at 9am or 10:30am. Practice days and times are determined by each coach and will be communicated to each parent prior to the first practice. Fall program runs for 8 weeks, begining the first Saturday after labor day. Spring program runs for 8 weeks, begining the second Saturday in April. Each game will follow the PeeWee rules.
Practice and Game location: Games and Practices will be held at the Congregational Church in the Center of town and the St. Mark's Church on Boston Rd.
Coaches: Each team should have a coach and assistant coach. Each coach needs to be registered through the town program and be CORI checked.
Player equipment: Players should purchase cleats, shin pads, socks and a water bottle for practice. Team shirt is provided.
*Children must be at least 4 years, 6 months to start in the U6 Sutton Youth Soccer program.
For the Spring season, players must turn 4 by October 1st the previous calendar year.
